Arlene Thereasa Bradburn, born on November 5, 1950, left this world on March 5, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 73 years. She is reunited with her late husband, Frederick (Sonny) Bradburn, in the eternal embrace of peace.
Arlene was a devoted mother to Shannon (Tony), Lenny (Tracey), and Kathleen (Gregg), and a proud grandmother to Shelby, Haleigh, Nick, Jakeb, Jonathan, and Devin. She also celebrated the joy of great-grandchildren, Tessa, Ryder, Jonathan, Ivvy, Wyatt, Vaeda, Lillian, and Baby Duncan, who is still on the way.
As the matriarch of the family and the eldest of her siblings, Arlene was the heartbeat of her extended family. She will be forever treasured by her siblings Valerie, Marlene (Andy), Darlene, the late Bobbie Su, Archie, Audra, and Jackie. Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved parents Archie and Phyllis. Her love was immeasurable, and her selflessness was immense. She took immense pride in being part of a family that spanned generations, connecting the past, present, and future with a thread of unwavering love.
Arlene cherished her Native American heritage, a source of strength and connection throughout her life. Her spirit embraced the wisdom and traditions of her ancestors, leaving a lasting legacy for her family to honor and preserve.
Among her many endearing qualities, Arlene's curiosity was a hallmark of her character. She would often begin conversations with her trademark phrase, "Out of curiosity," expressing a genuine interest in the lives and happenings of her loved ones. Her warmth and genuine concern endeared her to all who knew her.
Arlene's generosity knew no bounds. Her heart overflowed with kindness, especially when she observed well-behaved children in the store. In those moments, she would offer money to the parents, encouraging them to treat their children to ice cream as a reward for their good behavior. This simple act of kindness reflected Arlene's belief in the power of positive reinforcement and her desire to spread joy wherever she could.
Beyond her family, Arlene cherished her feline companion, Puss, who brought her comfort and companionship. Together, they shared countless moments of quiet joy and solace.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solosy Funeral Home. Cremation will take place following the time of visitation.
