Barbara Gail Hensley

The family of Barbara Gail Hensley, of Taylor, is saddened to announce her passing on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the age of 78 years.

Beloved wife of Virgil Hensley. Loving mother of Danny, the late Ricky, Sherrie, Jennifer, and Robin (Ken). Proud grandmother of Jacob, Destiny, Kyle, Tyler, Arieana, Drake, Christian, and Savannah. Caring great-grandmother of 8 precious great-grandchildren.

Barbara was born on June 4, 1945 to Russell and Bernice Miller. She is the dear sister of Linda, Wanda, and the late Judy.

Barbara was devoted to a few loves throughout her life. Her most treasured love was her lifelong best friend and husband Virgil. They met in 1967 in Ypsilanti and have been inseparable ever since. Barbara's other love was the family they built together. She always looked forward to spending time with her family around the holidays, during special events, and even for the everyday moments. Another love she had was maintaining a clean house. There was nothing better than clean counters and a freshly vacuumed floor. Lastly, she loved keeping a beautiful garden of flowers and plants. The bright, colorful flowers she kept was a testament to her bright, loving personality.

Barbara will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024  4:00 – 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.

Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 19, 2024  10:00 AM until time of service at Solosy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
