Age 63. Beloved mother of Jesse (Kim) Battle. Loving daughter of James and Donna Battle and George Sr. and Mildred Harris. Dearest sister of Roger (Pam) Harris. Dear aunt of George Harris.
Beverly experienced the love of two sets of parents in her life. Both of her fathers were devoted members of the American Legion and the Shriners and she volunteered for both of these organizations. She was willing to help in whatever way she could and acknowledged the help she received from others. Most recently she received great assistance from Special Tree Rehabilitation in Romulus during a particularly difficult health struggle last year.
Beverly was a graduate of the Virginia Farrell Beauty School in Lincoln Park. She spent over four decades working as a beautician. Family members remember joining Bev in the driveway for their regular haircuts. She was always ready to offer her expertise in helping people look their best. Beverly was an animal lover. She was especially fond of her faithful companion, Honey, a Siberian husky who unfortunately passed away a couple years ago. Beverly wanted to be outside in the sun. She loved the sun and sunbathing. It comes as no surprise that she also enjoyed gardening. She loved to grow flowers. Beverly was enamored with all different kinds of flowers. She loved the shapes, aromas, and colors. She especially loved orange tulips.
In keeping with Beverly's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the John K. Solosy Funeral Home.
