Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Brenda Kay Cloutier announces her passing on November 25, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on May 8, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Robert Edward Watson and Rosella (Howell) Watson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a lifelong Michigander whose gentle heart, deep love for family, and warm spirit touched all who knew her.

Brenda shared many years of love and companionship with her late husband, Norman Cloutier. Together they built a life centered on family, care, and simple joys. Brenda was a devoted mother to her daughter, Angela Anderson, and a proud mother-in-law to Kevin Anderson. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandsons, Tony Anderson and Isaac Anderson, who brought her endless happiness and filled her life with purpose and love.

She is survived by her brother, David (Debbie) Watson, and remembered lovingly by her many nieces and nephews — Lisa, Dana, Kurt, Brian, Kelly, Krystal, and Amanda. Brenda was also preceded in death by her siblings Betty Watson, Nancy Carver, and Charlie Watson.

Brenda had a gentle and nurturing nature. She loved to garden and found peace in tending to her flowers and watching things grow under her care. She was known for her deep love of music and, above all, for the way she adored her grandchildren. Halloween and Christmas were her favorite times of the year; she delighted in decorating and bringing seasonal joy to those around her. To those closest to her, she was affectionately known as “Chickie Momma,” a nickname that captured the tenderness and humor she carried through life.

Animals held a special place in her heart as well, especially her beloved cat Cody, who preceded her in death.

Brenda will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her love of family traditions, and the gentle way she made others feel cared for. Her memory will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Solosy Funeral Home.

The family invites relatives and friends to share memories, stories, and messages of comfort in the online guestbook as they honor Brenda’s life and the love she leaves behind.
