Carol Lynn Borczak

Carol Lynn Borczak, born on August 31, 1962, left this world on February 13, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her husband John and cherished children Sarah (Justin), Cherie, and Jay (Ashley).

Carol was a loving sister to Robert Kunz and the late Donald Kunz. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren Brielle, Bryce, Cheyenne, and Jaycob, who were a source of immeasurable joy in her life.

A compassionate soul, Carol dedicated almost 30 years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Her commitment to the well-being of those around her was unwavering, and she faced her role with strength, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Carol found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for her dogs, Gracie, a Jack Russell terrier, and the late Max, a boxer, who were faithful companions throughout her journey. Her fondness for boating, water, and the beach reflected her appreciation for the beauty of nature. Carol was particularly drawn to warm weather, and her love for sunshine was evident in the warmth she brought to those around her.

Known for her selflessness and putting others first, Carol was affectionately called "Christmas Carol" by her family, a testament to her love for the festive season. John described her as a good woman and an amazing mother, highlighting her enduring impact on their lives.

Even in the face of illness, Carol battled with remarkable strength and courage, continuing her work as a nurse. Her resilience was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others, forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal warmth and love she shared so generously during her time on this Earth.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Lincoln Park American Legion.
