Carol Anne Burtch, lovingly known as “CB,” passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on March 10, 1953, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph John Schock and Barbara Leatha (Bellmore) Schock.
Carol lived a life centered on family, love, and togetherness. She shared many years with her beloved husband, the late Milton Burtch, building a home filled with laughter, resilience, and enduring memories. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
She was a devoted mother to Windy (Brian) Ratliff, Michele Bacon, Keith (Zarafina) Bacon, John Bacon, and Richard (Shannon) Burtch. Carol’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Jason, Kevin, Daniel, Jacob, Andrew, Rebecca, Jonny, Larisa, Benjamin, and Alexander—and her beloved great-grandchild, River.
Carol is also survived by her siblings Albert, Barbara, and Susan. She was preceded in death by her siblings Mike, Fran, and Marian.
A loyal and lifelong friend, Carol shared a special bond with Cindy Ratliff, a friendship that began when their children were young and endured through the years. She was known for her warm spirit, her strong presence, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
Carol especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren, creating memories that will be carried on for generations. She found happiness in simple, meaningful moments—family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and summer days around the grill. She was fondly known for enjoying a perfectly “burnt” hot dog, a small but memorable tradition that brought smiles to those around her.
Carol will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the countless ways she made those she loved feel special. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wyandotte, Michigan.
Her family will forever cherish the memories of a life well lived and a woman deeply loved.
