Charles Lee Henegar,
85, passed away on July 5, 2017 surrounded by family. Charles/Charlie/Chuck/Red/Pa was born in Athens, Tennessee to Will and Callie Henegar. He worked for 30 plus years as a trucker for Imlach Movers/Atlas Van Line. When not on the road, Charles loved to build things, often for his grandchildren and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his grandson Matthew McKee, his son-in-law Timothy McKee and several brothers and sisters. Charles was beloved by friends and family for his devoted, loving, caring, hard working, generous and fun-loving spirit. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Vivian Henegar, his sister Grace Bradford (Floyd) of Alabama, brother Jim Henegar (Pat) of Tennessee, his children John Henegar (Cheryl) and Valerie McKee, his grandchildren Callie McLoughlin-McKee (Amy), Trevor McKee, and Johnny Henegar (Jesse), along with 8 great-grandchildren. He was the patriarch of our family, an uncle, brother, friend and neighbor to countless others. Solosy Funeral Home provided services on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Beaumont Hospital Hospice (P.O. Box 5802, Troy, MI 48007-5802) where he was so lovingly cared for in his final days. "Pa" would have hated any amount of attention for his passing, but would have loved for you to do something nice for someone else in his honor. Mercy.
Visitation Saturday July 8, 2017 1:00 p.m. until time of Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
