Constance Catherine Tanghetti passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on June 16, 1948, in Windsor, Canada, Constance lived a life centered on family, hard work, and quiet strength. She was a gentle and steady presence—deeply loving, kindhearted, and devoted to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph Augustine Tanghetti and Elaine Frances (Dunne) Tanghetti; her siblings, Frances and Joseph; her daughters, Angelina Tanghetti and Charlene Welch; and her cherished niece Karen and nephew Kevin.

Constance is survived by her loving sisters, Margaret (Peggy), Cynthia, and Ilene, with whom she shared lifelong bonds and treasured memories. She was a devoted and loving mother to Laurene (Plowecki) Cribbs and David Plowecki. Her family grew with the loving addition of her son-in-law, Larry Cribbs, and daughter-in-law, Danielle Plowecki, both of whom she welcomed as her own.

Constance leaves behind 12 cherished grandchildren and 14 adored great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Constance loved to stay active throughout her life. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and later found great joy bowling with the McMac Athletic Club in Detroit. Her active spirit and love of friendly competition stayed with her well into adulthood.

Professionally, Connie was a licensed real estate agent with ERA Ocoda Realty in Northern Michigan for many years, where she took pride in helping families find a place to call home. Later, she continued to stay active and connected to her community by delivering the Detroit News and The Shopping Guide in Oscoda, Michigan.

Known for her easygoing nature and warm heart, Constance had a remarkable ability to make others feel comfortable and truly heard. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed reading, playing games on her tablet, and above all, spending time with her family. Her presence was comforting and deeply loved, and her legacy of kindness, devotion, and quiet strength will live on through the generations she cherished.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Solosy Funeral Home.
