Cynthia Ann Adamson

July 17, 1960 — October 8, 2023

Lincoln Park

The family of Cynthia Ann Adamson, of Lincoln Park, is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the age of 63 years.

Beloved wife of Patrick Adamson. Loving mother of Amanda Marlewitz, Jessica Reside, Angela Adamson, and Patrick (Tanya) Adamson. Proud "Meems" (grandmother) of Scott, Maddy, Scott, Chase, Noah, Makayla, and Baby Alijah who is coming soon.

Cynthia was born on July 17, 1960 to the late Moses and Deanira Stanley. She grew up in Lincoln Park and graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1978. Cynthia is survived by her siblings Corrine (Edward) Sueta, Deanna (Ralph) Magoon, and Moses (Sherry) Stanley. She is preceded in death by her sister Debra Garibaldi. Cynthia will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

After high school, Cynthia made a beautiful life in the city of her youth. Before Patrick and Cynthia met, he recalls seeing her once and remembering how beautiful she was at that time. Some time passed and the two finally met face to face at Corrine and Edward's house. After that, fate took over and the two were inseparable. Cynthia married the love of her life, Patrick, on October 6, 1978 and they were married 45 remarkable years. Early on the two decided that Lincoln Park was where their family should be raised. Cynthia loved being a wife and mother. She worked faithfully, creating a nurturing life for her children at home.

Cynthia made her entire life about her family and friends. Her welcoming spirit and genuine selflessness drew others around her. Cynthia absolutely loved spending time with her kids and grandkids every moment she was able. Cooking food for people was a way she demonstrated love, from cooking family dinners to sometimes feeding anyone in the neighborhood that was around. Every Christmas, Cynthia enjoyed making Christmas cookies. Elvis Presley could be heard throughout the kitchen as she lovingly prepared the dough, cut, baked, and decorated the delicious treats to be shared.

Cynthia enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to shop. If she knew someone needed something, she would go and find the perfect item to give. She also loved music. Some of her favorites were Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Deana Carter. Cynthia enjoyed watching old games shows and movies. One of her favorite actresses was Betty Davis. You could find her curled up on the couch or in a comfy chair watching a good black and white movie.

Cynthia will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.
