Deborah Ann Jones

January 23, 1959 — April 9, 2026

Lincoln Park

Deborah Ann Jones, affectionately known as “Debbie,” of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on January 23, 1959, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to the late David and Garnette Auler.

Debbie was a woman of remarkable strength, energy, and heart—someone who lived her life in constant motion, always caring for others. A proud and dedicated Registered Nurse, she devoted over four decades of her life to the field of nursing, most notably serving in the ICU at Wyandotte Hospital. Debbie was deeply passionate about her work and took immense pride in her career. She was not only respected by her colleagues but genuinely loved by them, known for her tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment to her patients.

Even beyond her demanding career, Debbie’s giving spirit never rested. After long overnight shifts, she would return home to care for her children, and then, without hesitation, go on to help others in need—offering care, comfort, and compassion wherever it was needed. She seemed to run on pure love and determination, always putting others before herself.

Debbie was a “toot” in the very best sense of the word—a true character with a bold personality and a quick wit. She had no filter and no fear of speaking her mind, but it was always delivered with humor that drew people in. A natural entertainer, Debbie loved to make people laugh and was known for her playful, mischievous side—especially when it came to teasing her siblings Connie and Jeff, a role she seemed to relish from childhood on. Her love for shock value and her ability to keep everyone on their toes made her unforgettable. Beneath that spirited exterior was a deeply generous and loving soul.

Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren—Victoria, Isabelle, and Dominic—who were truly the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them. Debbie also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, who brought her great comfort and companionship.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, David Jones; her children, Melinda (Rick) Czerwonka and Bryan Jones; her cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Isabelle, and Dominic; her siblings, Susan Stevens, Constance Jones, and Jeffrey Auler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who absolutely adored her.

Family and friends will gather to honor Debbie’s life on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, Michigan, from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM and will travel in procession from the funeral home to Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Lincoln Park for a Funeral Mass at Noon the same day. Debbie will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.

Debbie’s legacy is one of compassion, humor, resilience, and love. She gave so much of herself to others and leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring laughter, comfort, and inspiration to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Debbie's memory to support the ongoing fight against breast cancer. Though she didn't suffer from this illness herself, there were family and friends who battled courageously and the fight was always close to Debbie's heart.
