Debra Lee James

Debra Lee James age 64 passed away Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. after a 20 year battle with cancer. She fought long and hard with great courage and determination. She will be remembered and missed by her many, many friends and her very special friend Carol Ann Kaatz.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Angela Marie James, her sister, Betty Jane Grant, and her beloved cat, Tiger.

Born in Owasso, Michigan she attended the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, Michigan until the age of nine when she was adopted by the Grant Family of Livonia, Michigan. She attended public school programs for deaf students and graduated from the Redford Union, Michigan school system.
