Delores Marie Roberts

Delores Marie Roberts was born to Marie and Roy Teschendorf on May 14, 1932 in the small nautical town of St. Clair Shores, Michigan.  She graduated in 1950 and became a telephone operator and then shortly there after a supervisor at Michigan Bell.  Then later in her work career she became a pharmacy assistant in her final working years.  Her real full time job was being a loving mother to her 5 children.  In 1953 she met and married her first love Arthur Diekman.  They together had two children Karen and Donald.  In 1959 Arthur had passed away leaving Delores as a single mother until she met a man and her future husband Robert Roberts.  They married in 1961 and they had 3 additional children, Daniel, Robert, and Tracey.  Plus Robert had three children that came into the family from a previous marriage, Kathy, Bobby Jean, and Gary that that grew the family from 5 to 8 children.  Delores was always dedicated to her large family.  Delores in her spare time loved crocheting, playing a good card game, bingo, and Yahtzee.  Also when the opportunity would arise she loved to go ice fishing as a little girl with her father and uncle in St. Clair Shores to the last time she went with her husband Robert.  Delores was sweet, loving, caring, kind and generous to all.  Delores had two loving siblings Gloria and Jacqueline that she adored as they adored her.  Delores was a grandmother to 16 grandchildren: Darlene, Arthur, Nicole, Dan Jr., Sarah, Nicholas, Tiffani, David, Amy, Zachary, Kristin, Rebecca, Jason, Nathan, Jessica, and Olivia.  She is also the beloved Great-Grandmother of 27 Great-Grandchildren.  Delores will be greatly missed by all.  Her smile, her wit, and most of all her laugh and love of her family and friends!  Delores is now with those that left her and loved her in earlier life.  We should not be sad, but rejoice in her life and all she did for everyone!

Visitation Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Service 1:00 p.m. at the Solosy Funeral Home.  Interment Michigan Memorial Park.
