Diane Frances Agnes Lackowski LaDrig, 63, of Lincoln Park, Michigan passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family Sunday, April 3, 2016. Her loss was unexpected and a result of sudden heart failure.
Diane was born November 16, 1952 in Bad Axe, MI. She was the second child in a large loving family born to Casimer T. Lackowski and Frances F. Lackowski (Polega). Diane is survived by her siblings Rosemary Lackowski of Hudson, FL, Kenneth Lackowski (Cindy) of Vassar, MI, Perry Lackowski (Linda) of Loveland, CO, Cass Lackowski (Barb) of Lincoln Park, MI, and Jackie Gorkowski (Jim) of Hudson, FL. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bill LaDrig (Dawn) of Saginaw, MI, and sister-in-law Judy Myers (Rollie) of Oakwood, OH. "Aunt Dinee" is a beloved aunt and Godmother to many precious nieces and nephews (Nicole, Jasmine, Julia, Cass, Brandon, Amie, Kayla, Keagen, Kaz).
She is survived by her adoring husband David LaDrig and her two loving children Damien LaDrig (Becky Berro) and Betheny Miller (Jeremy Miller). Dave and Diane were married September 11, 1976 in Bad Axe, MI. Dave and Diane welcomed their long awaited first grandchild, Vaughn Miller, in February of this year.
Diane attended Davenport College and worked in many different fields. She worked in her family's restaurant at an early age. She worked in the retail industry and healthcare industry but her time spent working in the aviation industry was by far her favorite. Diane was a Flight Attendant for Champion Airlines and enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas the best of all!
Visitation Wednesday 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6pm. Instate Thursday 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1540 Riverbank St. Lincoln Park, MI 48146.
Diane had a gigantic heart and found happiness in selflessly giving to others. She delighted in cooking and baking for others and did so better than anyone we know. Aside from her family and countless dear lifelong friends, Diane's passion was flying. We are comforted in knowing she is among the clouds again, watching over us with love.
