Eliseo Vasquez Barba

Following a battle with cancer, Eliseo Vasquez Barba of Westland passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

Beloved husband of 40 years to the late Diane Vasquez. Caring father of Sylvia (Jairo) Ponce, Jose (Tabitha) Walls, the late Isabel (Antonio) Vasquez-Gamez, and Eliseo (Simonne) Vasquez Jr. Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren. Proud great-grandfather of 9 great-grandchildren.

Eliseo was born in Mexico on May 28, 1953 to the late Pedro and Maria (Barba Chavez) Vasquez Jimenez. He has 8 brothers and 1 sister. Although he is preceded in death by some siblings, he will be missed by those who survive him.

Eliseo was known for his strong work ethic and serious demeanor. He was a man of few words, but dedicated his life to working hard to provide for his family. You could often find him doing cement construction work. When not working, he enjoyed relaxing at home. He especially liked to watch the news to keep up on current events. Eliseo was also proud of his heritage and loved to listen to Mexican music often.

He will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 4:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at Solosy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM.
