Elizabeth Katherine Nagy

December 5, 1950 — February 19, 2026

Taylor

Elizabeth Katherine Nagy, a lifelong Michigan resident and devoted family woman, passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on December 5, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lawrence Burns and the late Frances Thelma (Meadows) Burns.

Elizabeth grew up in Allen Park, where she formed many of the values that would guide her throughout life — devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a warm, welcoming spirit. She was primarily a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and loved ones. Over the years, she also worked as a waitress, where her friendly personality and attentive nature were appreciated by many.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Nagy; her sister-in-law, Peggy Nagy; as well as her brothers-in-law, Alex “Chippy” Nagy and Ronald Hensley.

Elizabeth’s greatest joy in life was her family. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, finding deep happiness simply being together and making memories. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Dante (Amy Peterson-Nagy) Nagy and Danielle (Todd Heimann) Nagy; her cherished grandchildren, Camille, Truman, Mickaela, Brendan, and Alyssa; and her sister-in-law, Elsie Hensley.

She will be deeply missed by her life long, devoted friends, Mary Ann Loewengruber, Judy Kalman, and Debbie Riley, whose decades of friendship meant so much to her.

Elizabeth found special joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching her children grandchildren, and their friends enjoy the backyard pool she faithfully maintained through the years—hard work she gladly took on for the sake of their happiness. Summer camping trips to Silver Lake were another treasured tradition, creating memories her family will carry forward.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her loving heart, her quiet dedication to those she cared for, and the warmth she brought to family gatherings. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.

Her family will forever cherish the memories of a life well lived and a woman deeply loved.
