Emery Alexander Chiszar

January 28, 1936 — November 27, 2024

The family of Emery Alexander Chiszar is saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 88 years.

Born on January 28, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, Emery was the beloved son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Honer) Chiszar. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Richard Chiszar, with whom he shared a lifelong bond of love and respect.

Emery took immense pride in his Hungarian heritage, a legacy he carried with dignity. Known for his vibrant personality, Emery will be deeply missed by his extended family members, who loved him immensely.

Emery proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honored to be a military veteran. His time in the service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and camaraderie, values that stayed with him throughout his life. After completing his military service, Emery applied his skills and work ethic to a successful career as a Master Mechanic in the re-tooling industry, where he was respected for his expertise and dedication to his craft.

Emery's life was a tapestry of diverse interests. A skilled bowler, he participated in numerous leagues, proudly collecting trophies that stood as symbols of his dedication and talent. Photography became another cherished pursuit, and Emery found joy in exploring poses, angles, and composition. His creative eye earned him several plaques from photography contests. An inventive craftsman, Emery had a knack for building and creating. Whether working with wood or metal, he transformed raw materials into functional and beautiful items, including furniture, cabinets, trailers, ramps, and tables.

A true adventurer at heart, Emery loved taking his camper on the road, visiting family and friends across the country. These trips, filled with laughter and shared memories, were among his most treasured moments. Summers brought Emery to the water, where he delighted in taking his speedboat out with friends, embracing the sunshine and beloved time spent with family and friends.

One of Emery's most endearing traits was his storytelling. Whether recounting a project from years ago or sharing a fond memory, he had an uncanny ability to make his tales come alive. If interrupted, he would seamlessly pick up where he left off, ensuring every detail of his story was heard—sometimes for the hundredth time.

Emery's warmth, creativity, and adventurous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His life was rich with life experiences, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Emery's stories, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
