Emery G Salamon Jr, 66, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence in Lincoln Park, MI. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 3, 1949 to Emery Sr. and Dorothea Salamon of Detroit, MI. The oldest of three (3) children, he expressed a love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Emery enlisted in the United States Air Force at the young age of 18 and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. During his time in the service, he was part of a Special Forces unit and was awarded the Bronze star for heroism. He retired from General Motors in 2008 and achieved great success while working there. His hard work and determination as a skilled tradesman helped pave his way to a highly technical position at the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI. He was a Mason and took his role there with a great sense of pride. He served as the Worshipful Master in 1991 and stayed active within the Masonic lodge since joining. This was one of his finest achievements and took his responsibilities seriously. Emery was a loving husband to his wife, Helen Carol Salamon, and father to three (3) amazing children; Michael Emery (R.I.P), Michelle Lynne, and the youngest, Jon Comer. He had four grandchildren who will miss him greatly. Holly, Zachary, Merry, and Quentin. He was a great man who endured some tough times through his life but always persevered.
