Frances (Demyanovich) Wesserling September 7, 1930 – March 6, 2026
Frances (Demyanovich) Wesserling, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, at the age of 95.
Born on September 7, 1930, Frances was the oldest of five siblings—three sisters and one brother. From a young age, she helped raise her younger siblings, displaying the nurturing, responsible, and caring nature that would define her throughout her life.
On April 16, 1949, she married the love of her life, Jerome Wesserling, beginning a beautiful 58-year marriage filled with shared adventures and unwavering devotion. They were together until Jerome's passing on September 3, 2007.
Frances was a great, loving, and caring mother to her two children, Jerome (Jerry) Wesserling and Judy Maraj. She poured her heart into her family, extending that same warmth and affection to her five grandchildren—Kristopher Wesserling, Omega Mejia, Kenny Maraj, Tommy Maraj, and Jessica Maraj—her eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She cherished every moment with her extended family, always offering support, hugs, and a listening ear.
At family gatherings, especially weddings, Frances was the undeniable life of the party. She was renowned for her joyful dancing, lighting up the dance floor with infectious energy and bringing everyone together in celebration. One of her greatest joys was traveling to Las Vegas—whether with her mother and sister or hand-in-hand with her husband. There, she delighted in seeing and meeting many of the era's top entertainers, creating unforgettable memories amid the excitement and glamour.
Frances will forever be remembered as someone who held loved ones close and nurtured them with love and kindness.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Wesserling and Judy Maraj; her grandchildren, Kristopher Wesserling, Omega Mejia, Kenny Maraj, Tommy Maraj, and Jessica Maraj; her eight great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild and Susan (Buschjost) Leek, her niece whom she helped raise. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome Wesserling, and her three sisters and one brother.
Frances will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, beside her beloved husband, Jerome, and near many members of her extended family.
