Frank "Buddy" Philip Robeson Jr.

Allen Park

Age 78.Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Lee Robeson. Loving father of Debra (Michael) Pope, Lisa (Jeff) Vizachero, and Phil (Barbara) Robeson. Dear brother of Richard Robeson (Karen Cline), Linda (John), Ann (Bob) Kramer, the late Ronnie (Donna) Robeson, the late Shorty Robeson, and Sue (Dick), Dearest grandfather of Danielle (Kam) Korvela, Courtney (James) Williams, Joshua (Mandy) William, Philip Frank Robeson, and Toni Vizachero. Dear great grandfather of Landon and Bryce Todd, Wyatt and Jaxzon Williams, Mckenzi and Grayson Williams, and Kash and Layla Korvela.

Frank started his life in Nashville, Tennessee. Born into the Robeson family as the second born out of seven children.  Frank met his beautiful bride in school at the early age of 16.  Smitten instantly, they were married and had three children and as their children grew, they eventually had a total of five grandbabies. His grandchildren were always called the grandbabies and not grandchildren. Frank worked hard to become a certified maintenance welder at Ford Motor and retired in 1999.

He enjoyed many hobbies like boxing on his speed bag, riding his Harley, fishing, hiking in the bog with his grandbabies while hunting for frog legs. But the hobby he will always be remembered for is coming up with a nickname for everyone, including animals.  This has become a family tradition that his grandchildren will continue to carry on forever. He loved music and always had the radio blasting whether he was working in the garage or barbecuing a big dinner for his family. A couple of songs that always come to mind when you ask his family are his favorites, "A horse with no name "and " money". He also loved Pink Floyd.  Sundays afternoons were always reserved as a special day for his kids, grandchildren and mother-in-law. The family played rummy, foosball and had a great dinner, usually Tacos or an Italian meal. After he retired, he moved to Indiana to be closer to his daughter and grandbabies. After his wife passed, Frank followed his native heritage as a nomad moving from place to place, finally returning to Michigan in 2020.  As he moved from place to place he enjoyed visits with his eight great grandbabies, as they brought him much joy. The last part of his journey began in 2021, preparing for his last hurrah and road trip to live near his daughter in Naples, Florida. Although we are saddened he left us, he is sitting with the love of his life, Jacqueline and Spike (his favorite dog) in heaven watching the Tigers play. So Tigers you better give him a good season!

Cremation to take place and a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
