Age 93. Beloved wife of Russell Woodliff. Dearest mother of Wayne (Wendy) Woodliff, Dale (the late Chrissa) Woodliff, Randy (Vonda) Woodliff, Carol (Charles) Austin, Barbara (David) Vermillion. Loving grandmother to fifteen grandchildren. Dear great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren with one on the way. Loved great-great-grandmother to 3 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. Gena is preceded in death by her sister Josephine and brother-in-law Stanley Wolschlager. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gena worked forty-two years for Cadillac. She served faithfully at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lincoln Park for many decades and was willing to help in any ministry that needed her. She served as the President of the Women of Good Shepherd more than once and also served as the Vice President and was a member of the Lincoln Park Seniors for many years. Most of all, she loved her family and cared for them with the love only a mother can give. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Visitation Thursday April 7, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at the John K. Solosy Funeral Home. Instate Friday April 8, 2022, 11:00 a.m. until the Mass at 12:00 p.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lincoln Park. Entombment at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit.
