Gloria Ann Wright was called home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2020. She was 86 years old. She was a true treasure to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Gloria was born December 15, 1933 in Fonde, Kentucky and was a resident of Lincoln Park, Michigan for over 60 years.
Gloria was a faithful member of the Faith Tabernacle Church of God Mountain Assembly where she was an anointed singer and piano player. She loved to bake and was famous for her Christmas cookies, coconut cream pies, and cakes. She looked forward to her annual trip to Gatlinburg, TN with her family. She laughed hard, loved life, and was a joy to be around. Most of all she loved and was so proud of her family and was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Paul and Vergel (Reed) Grubbs, Sister, Lavenda Grubbs Callahan, Granddaughter, Jennifer Wigginton Daniels, Great -grandson, Emmanuel Wigginton, her husband Lacy E. Wigginton and her second husband, George Wright.
She is survived by her three children, sons, Scott (Vickie) Wigginton and Paul (Dana) Wigginton, and daughter, Hope Wright. Grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Brandon, and Gabriel. Great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Isabella, Eli, Christian, Blake, Elliot, and Paige. Siblings, Ina R. Mosher, Mary (Fred) Cornelius, and Jerry P. (Lorinda) Grubbs. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her greatly.
We will miss her tremendously, but for her....It's Shouting Time in Heaven!
While we would love to have a huge-home going celebration with all her family and friends, due to Covid-19, we believe it is our responsibility to try to protect others. As a result, we will be holding a private, graveside home-going service at the Ferndale Cemetery in Riverview, Michigan.
