Harvey Joseph Pack Jr., of Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on July 16, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Harvey was the beloved son of the late Harvey Joseph Pack Sr. and Amelia Goldie (Mosolits) Pack. He spent his childhood growing up in Lincoln Park, where he attended Lincoln Park schools before continuing his education at Michigan State University.

Harvey's greatest blessing in life was his family. On July 12, 1969, he married the love of his life, Carole, beginning a beautiful marriage that spanned 57 wonderful years. Their love story was one for the ages—they first met when Carole worked as a roller-skating carhop at A&W, where Harvey and his friends were regular customers. What started as a simple stop for burgers and root beer became the beginning of a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Together they built a loving family that Harvey treasured above all else. He was a proud and devoted father to Naomi (Scott) Pack-Cunningham, Harvey Pack III, Michael (Lindsay) Pack, and Sarah (Will) Pack-Dyer. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his children pursue the things they loved and celebrating their accomplishments. His love only multiplied as he became a grandfather to Chase, Conner, Aiden, Carson, Gavin, Declan, Xavier, Xander, and Xayn, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Harvey was preceded in death by his brother, David Pack.

Those who knew Harvey will remember his unforgettable personality. He was goofy, quick with a joke, and always ready to make people laugh. His warm spirit made friends wherever he went, and he genuinely enjoyed visiting with family and friends. If you asked Harvey to describe himself, he would likely smile and say, "I'm a good guy," and everyone who knew him would wholeheartedly agree. He was kind, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Harvey would do anything for anyone.

He had a deep love for his family, his faith, and his church. Sundays often included attending Mass followed by one of his favorite traditions—going out for brunch with those he loved. He found joy in life's simple pleasures: casting a fishing line, spending time at the shooting range, traveling to new places, enjoying good food paired with good wine, and relaxing with his favorite television hero, The Lone Ranger. Among his favorite memories were unforgettable trip to California and throughout Europe, adventures that reflected his love of travel and experiencing the world.

Harvey also shared his home with his cherished pups. His beloved Yorkshire Terrier companion, Bella, and the late Molly brought him great happiness.

Though his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in the countless memories he created through his humor, kindness, and unconditional love. His legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired, the generosity he showed, and the family he so faithfully nurtured.
