James D. Brittain

James Dale Brittain, 69 years old of Riverview, Michigan went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2018. Mr. Brittain was an accomplished attorney and began his law practice in the State of Michigan in 1978. He graduated from Michigan State University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1978. Mr. Brittain served as a Special Assistant Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney from 1976 – 1979. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army and was also a member of the Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Susan, daughter Amy, son James, and grandson Lucas, sisters June, Peggy and Carolyn, brother-in-law Robert and brother Dennie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Clara, father Beecher, sister Loretta, brothers William, George, and Archie. Also survived by longtime friend and attorney Linda Souve.

Visitation Sunday October 14, 2018 2:00 p.m. with a Honor Guard Service at 5:30 p.m. and the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
