James Teddy Windsor Sr., lovingly known as Jim, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on March 13, 1953, Jim led a life filled with laughter, warmth, and love for family, friends, and animals.
Jim met the love of his life, Kathleen Windsor (Kathy), through a mutual friend when he was just 17 and Kathy was 15. They married two years later and shared a remarkable 52 years of marriage, creating countless memories together. Jim's family was his world, and his greatest joys were his children, James T. Windsor Jr. (JT) and Dawn Marie Windsor, and his grandson Josh Windsor, who brought him endless pride. Josh, along with his partner Jade Lawrence, held a special place in Jim's heart.
Jim's passion for cars and trains was well-known, especially his beloved 1950 Chevy, a testament to his love for classic automobiles. He also enjoyed trying his luck with the lottery and was a die-hard fan of the Detroit Lions, remaining loyal no matter the score. He found joy in the little things, from watching *The Last Man Standing* and *Antiques Roadshow*, to listening to the sounds of the '50s and '60s, with Dean Martin and Elvis among his favorite artists.
Known for his playful and crazy sense of humor, Jim had a unique ability to make people laugh and lift their spirits. His love for animals was immense, extending to his cherished pets—Patches, Mama, Sassy, Squeakers, Crybaby, Bitty, and Buddy—who were a constant source of comfort and companionship.
Jim is survived by his wife Kathy, his children JT and Dawn, his grandson Josh, and a large, loving family of siblings: Raymond (Jean) Windsor, Richard (Hanna) Windsor, Randy (Ruth) Windsor, Deborah (Randy) Stamper, and Rickey Windsor. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edward and Ronald Windsor, who remain deeply missed. Additionally, Jim leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of 27 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will always remember him fondly.
As Jim's family and friends gather to honor his memory, they remember a man who celebrated life with humor, loyalty, and a big heart. His memory lives on in the laughter he brought to others and the love he gave so freely.
