With heavy hearts, the family of Janice Morales Rivera announces her passing on February 22, 2025, at the age of 52. Janice was a woman of boundless love, warmth, and dedication, whose impact reached far beyond her family and into the lives of the countless children she nurtured as an educator and principal.

Born on March 22, 1972, to Jorge Morales and Gloria Rivera, Janice grew up surrounded by love and strong family values, which she carried into every aspect of her life. A devoted mother, she took immense pride in raising her three sons, Daniel Magaña, Matthew Curmi, and Isaiah Barreto, instilling in them kindness, resilience, and the importance of education. Her love extended to her cherished granddaughter, Amelià Magaña, who brought her endless joy.

Janice's passion for education was not just a career—it was a calling. She dedicated her life to shaping young minds, fostering a love for learning, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for every student who walked through her doors. As a principal, she was both a leader and a mentor, inspiring her colleagues and students alike with her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to their success.

Beyond her professional and familial roles, Janice was a fiercely loyal sister to George Morales and Damarys Morales, and a beloved partner to her devoted fiancée, Kevin, who stood by her side with love and support. Her home was also shared with her adored cat fur-babies, Maya and Mushu, who brought her comfort and companionship.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Solosy Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Solosy Funeral Home. Janice will be laid to rest at Woodmere Cemetery.

Though Janice's journey on earth has come to an end, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the lives she shaped will ensure that her spirit lives on forever.
