Jeanette Mary Blizman

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jeanette Mary Blizman, of Lincoln Park, on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

Beloved mother of Michelle Villarreal. Loving Aunt of Michael Blizman and Angela Blizman. Proud grandmother of Nicolette (Eric) Poyle and Talia (Justin) Ayoub. Dear great-grandmother of Avery, Alayna, Sebastian, and Gabriel. Dearest great-aunt of Katherine. Forever remembered by countless others.

Jeanette was born on August 7, 1948 to the late Joseph and Margaret Blizman. She is survived by her sister Maryanne (Rich) Vermette and preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Blizman and Katherine Blizman.

Jeanette worked hard all her life and loved getting out of the house to go to work. She worked for Meijer for over 20 years. There was rarely a shift she missed.

Although she enjoyed working, Jeanette took pleasure in other things as well. She loved birthdays and holidays. Every time a birthday came around, Jeanette would ask the people she loved to tell her at least 3 things they wanted for their birthday. Giving her family gifts brought her joy. She always wanted to make sure it was exactly what you wanted and would include a receipt taped to the box just in case. There was always a funny card to top off the gift. During birthday celebrations, Jeanette was the official birthday cake cutter. Jeanette also enjoyed eating Taco Bell, especially chicken quesadillas.

Jeanette will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023  1:00 - 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.

Instate will be on Friday, July 14, 2023  10:30 until time of Funeral Mass  11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Delayed Interment will take place at Woodmere Cemetery following cremation.
