Jeffrey Allen Bodnar

Jeffrey Allen Bodnar, age 59, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born on October 7, 1966, Jeffrey lived a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and a passion for the people and hobbies he loved most.

Jeffrey was the beloved son of James Bodnar and Toni Horvath. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberly Bodnar, whom he loved deeply and missed dearly.

He was the proud father of Jessica Brewer, Chad McDaniel, Julia Bodnar, and Anthony Bodnar. Nothing brought Jeffrey greater joy than watching his family grow. He was also the cherished grandfather of Dominick, Derrick, Travis, Aleah, Levi, and Corey, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Jeffrey is also survived by his siblings, Jamie Bodnar, James Bodnar, Joey Bodnar, Cathi Bodnar, and Carrie Bodnar, along with many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will fondly remember his larger-than-life personality.

Known for his natural leadership abilities, Jeffrey had a way of stepping up when it mattered most. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, often delivering his thoughts with a sarcastic wit and a smile that let everyone know he was joking—at least most of the time. A proud smart aleck in the best sense of the word, Jeffrey's humor could brighten a room, and those who knew him best understood that his teasing was one of the many ways he showed affection.

Among his many passions, bowling stood above the rest. Whether competing in local leagues or traveling to tournaments in places like Texas and Las Vegas, Jeffrey loved every aspect of the sport. His family will forever remember hearing him coach from the sidelines with his familiar advice: "You have to keep your wrist straight!" It became one of the phrases that defined countless memories spent together at the bowling alley.

When he wasn't bowling, Jeffrey enjoyed golfing, cheering on NASCAR, and was an especially devoted fan of the legendary Dale Earnhardt and his iconic No. 3 car. He also loved working on automobiles and found great satisfaction in fixing and maintaining them. One of his greatest pleasures was passing along those skills to his daughters, teaching them how to work on cars so they could be independent and self-sufficient. It was his way of making sure they were prepared for whatever life might bring.

Jeffrey's coworkers affectionately nicknamed him "Rat Boy," a playful moniker that originated from his Australian coworkers, who joked about his famously hairy appearance. Like so many of the stories surrounding Jeffrey, the nickname was embraced with laughter and became another memorable part of his colorful personality.

More than anything, Jeffrey will be remembered for the laughter he created, the sarcastic jokes he always had ready, the lessons he shared, and the unwavering love he had for his family. He believed in teaching, encouraging, and making people laugh, often all at the same time. His presence was unmistakable, his personality unforgettable, and the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved him.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, Jeffrey's legacy lives on in the countless stories shared around bowling lanes, garages, family gatherings, and race days. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Jeffrey's cremation was held in the care of Solosy Funeral Home.
