John E. Lakatos

February 12, 1933 — May 31, 2021

Taylor

Age 88. Beloved husband of the late Priscilla L. Lakatos. Loving father of John J. (Kathy) Lakatos, James C. (Pam) Lakatos, and Michael W. Lakatos. Dear brother of Patricia L. Lakatos. Dearest grandfather of Nancy (Larry) Collins, the late John (Melinda) Lakatos, Jeff (April) Lakatos, and Brandon P. (Kayla) Lakatos. Dearest great grandfather of ten. John was preceded in death by his brothers Stephen Lakatos, Robert Lakatos, and Joseph Lakatos.

John believed in working hard and he demonstrated this conviction through his many years of service (often double-shifts) as a turbine repairman in the steel industry. When John wasn't working he enjoyed hunting and fishing. This was a passion he shared with his boys as well as the grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were many days spent on the lake enjoying time with family and hoping the fish would bite.
