John Joseph Kapp

Age 68. Beloved boyfriend of Joyce DeLaurentiis. Loving brother of Charles Kapp III and Stephen Kapp. Dear uncle of Joseph, Will, Suzy, Sara, Phillip, and H. Loving cousin of Janet Quinn. John was preceded in death by his parents Charles Kapp II and Mary Kapp and his siblings Linda Clingman and William Kapp.

John had a deep and abiding love for classical music. He was an accomplished viola player. At times, he would assist with the music at his church and was always happy to "volunteer". In the years before becoming ill, he sang as Cantor for the 11:00 Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Southgate. John was a longtime patron of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and would attend performances whenever possible.

Visitation Friday January 28, 2022, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Instate Saturday January 29, 2022, 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.

The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra or Heart to Heart Hospice .
