Jose Charles Calles

Jose Charles Calles, affectionately known as Joe, passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on August 13, 1977, in Detroit, Michigan, Joe was the beloved son of Martin Calles and the late Dora Garcia.

Joe is survived by his three sons, Drake and David, along with their mother, Erica, and his son Anthony, along with his mother, Rose. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Tabitha, Jennifer, Martino, Jazzy, and Kiki, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

A man with a deep passion for music, Joe had a particular love for Freestyle. In his younger years, Joe even tried his hand at DJing, sharing his love of music with others. He also had a keen interest in collecting comic books, a hobby that brought him much joy over the years. Joe enjoyed playing basketball, finding peace and camaraderie on the court.

Joe faced his share of struggles but was determined to rise above them, working hard to become stronger each day. His resilience and courage in the face of these challenges will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Joe's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish the moments they shared with him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 7:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home. Cremation will take place in the care of Solosy Funeral Home following the visitation and service.
