With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Ann (Slaga) Apolloni on July 17, 2025, at the age of 56. Karen was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a bright spirit who left her mark on everyone she met.
Karen's heart belonged first and foremost to her family. She was the fiercely loving mother of Sarafina, Amedeo, Anthony, Angelina, and Francesco, and she found her greatest joy in their laughter, milestones, and everyday moments. Her love reached a new level when she became grandma to her cherished grandson, Aidan, whom she lovingly called "Popeye" and adored with all her heart.
Those who knew Karen will remember her vibrant personality and unapologetic love for the things that brought her joy. She had a deep appreciation for perfume and could always be counted on to smell good—a little thing that made her feel beautiful and brightened the room.
Karen had an undeniable passion for music and was a true fan of everything from the iconic sounds of the '80s to Motown classics and Country music. Whether she was dancing in the kitchen, singing in the car, or just relaxing with her favorite playlists, music was her constant companion.
She also loved the simple pleasure of watching TV, unwinding after a long day with a favorite show or movie. No matter what was on, it was her time to relax and reset.
A hard worker to the core, Karen was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Whether on the job or taking care of her loved ones, she gave her best every single day. Her loyalty, drive, and determination will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Karen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. She will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
