Kenneth Caudill, born on April 15, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on April 2, 2025, just shy of his 67th birthday. Though life held its share of challenges, Kenneth's loved ones are choosing to honor his memory with dignity, respect, and gratitude for the part he played in their story.
Kenneth was the beloved son of Fon and Flaura Caudill. Though most of his siblings preceded him in death, he is survived by his sister, Annette Woolsey, who remembers him with a heart full of shared childhood memories and family ties that time could never truly sever.
In his younger years, he served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army, a role he carried out with quiet pride and steadfast commitment. A gifted cook with an unmistakable passion for the kitchen, Kenneth spent decades working as a chef in various restaurants. He found joy and fulfillment in preparing meals for others—an expression of creativity that marked one of the truest reflections of who he was.
Though he was not closely involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren until the later years, his daughters—Cynthia Sauceda, Sharon (Manuel) Caudill-Castellanos, Delia (Juan) Mauricio, and Carmen (Todd) Heusman—stand today to honor his memory, recognizing him as their father and respecting the role he played in their lives.
He leaves behind a legacy that continues through his 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren—with one more on the way—each a reminder of the generations that follow from the life he lived.
A memorial service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held on Monday, April 14, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, with military honors to be presented at 7:30 PM in recognition of his service to our nation.
May he rest in peace and may those who knew him find comfort in reflection, respect in remembrance, and healing in time.
