Lincoln Park

Lawrence Ralph Cline, of Lincoln Park, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of 64. Born to Ellis and Audrey (Gearns) Cline on September 5, 1960, Lawrence lived a life rich in love for his family.

He was a devoted brother to Tom Cline, Philip Cline, Sybil Cline, and the late Keith and Donald Cline. Larry was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, always bringing warmth and joy to their lives. He was a loving father to Nicole (Brian) Richardson and an incredibly proud grandfather to Maverick Richardson, whom he cherished dearly. Larry loved bringing Maverick Happy Meals, a simple tradition that highlighted his deep love for his family.

Larry was blessed to have great neighbors. Sometimes neighbors become like family. Larry had a special relationship with his neighbors, Jessica, Yarehtzi, Sarahi, and Serjio Garcia. They took time to care for him, especially throughout his illness and he loved the kids like they were his own grandchildren. He was delighted to work with them on the garden in the summer and they were elated to share the harvest with him. Sometimes a tomato is more than just a tomato…sometimes it's symbol of love from the folks next door.

Animals held a special place in Larry's heart, especially his dogs. His precious companion Scooby survives him, while his beloved dog Daisy, who was with him for 17 wonderful years, preceded him in death.

Larry's hands were rarely idle. For 25 years, he built houses as a skilled carpenter, a craft he loved deeply. His natural gift for fixing and building anything made him a reliable, go-to person for any project. He later worked as a dispatcher for Capacity Trucking, where his dedication to work and strong ethic continued to shine.

His passion for cars was evident in the time he spent working on his brother Phil's prized 1949 Dodge Cornet, and he loved attending car shows. When he wasn't working or fixing things, Larry enjoyed spending time at the family cottage up north, embracing the quiet retreat it offered.

Larry's fun side emerged in his love of playing the lottery, always betting $5 straight on "734." His active lifestyle, whether at work, home, or play, was a testament to his boundless energy and love for life.

Larry will be remembered as a man who loved his family deeply, a hardworking soul, and a true friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and cherished memories.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
