Age 89. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Whybra. Loving father of Heidi Whybra, Kurt (Michael Brown) Whybra and Donna Baylor. Caring grandfather of nine grandchildren. Lawrence was preceded in death by his daughter, Frances (James) Jelinek, his brother, Melvin G. Whybra and his love and longtime companion, Joanne Bollig. He was blessed to find love later in life and enjoyed being a member of Joanne's large family. Lawrence was an Army Airforce Veteran who was an avid WWII and military historian. He was a proud member of the fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus. He was a talented repairman and credited with the ability to fix anything. He will be remembered by family and friends as a cool guy who will be deeply missed. Visitation Friday March 20, 2020 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Solosy Funeral Home. Graveside service at Michigan Memorial Park on Saturday, March 21 at 10:30 am. Due to the current health concerns, Mass will have to take place at a later date.
