Lawrence Anthony Yepez

Lawrence Anthony Yepez, born on August 21, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 63. He was the beloved son of the late Lawrence and Rosemary Yepez, and brother to the late Leo Yepez. He is survived by his loving sister Linda Yepez-Montano and her husband Ovidio, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Marce, John, Ashley, Anna, and Julio. Larry was also the proud uncle of six great-nephews, who brought him much joy.

For several years, Larry lived with and cared for his Uncle Louis Yepez, a role he took on with deep love and dedication. He was a warm, funny soul, known for always bringing laughter to those around him. Larry had a passion for music, especially for the rock band KISS, whom he adored.

His love of cats was well-known, having cared for many over the years, each one a special companion to him. Larry treasured time spent with his family, especially during the holidays. His sister, Linda, fondly recalls that every Thanksgiving, after a hearty meal, Larry would push back from the table, declaring with a grin that he was ready for a nap, always blaming the turkey for his post-meal drowsiness.

Larry's humor, kindness, and love for family and friends will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A private cremation has taken place in the care of Solosy Funeral Home.
