Lois Lee (Kane) Tocco, lovingly known as Lee, passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 91.
Lee was born March 29, 1935, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Lois V. Kane (Booker) and Earl H. Kane.
Lee was married to Anthony F. “Tony” Tocco from May 1977 until his passing on January 27, 2026. Together, Lee and Tony made their home in Gibraltar, Michigan, and shared many years of love, companionship, and faith.
Lee will be remembered for her sweet and loving personality, her gentle spirit, and her strong faith in our Lord Jesus. She and Tony attended Woodland Church in Brownstown, Michigan, where their faith was an important part of their lives.
For the past four years, Lee was a resident of Applewood Nursing Home in Woodhaven, Michigan. During those years, she formed many special friendships with residents and caregivers who came to know and love her. Lee’s sweet nature and caring heart touched many lives, and the friends she made at Applewood became an important part of her life.
Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Kane; her father, Earl Kane; her stepson, Gary Tocco; and her cousin, Jordan Pizzurro.
Lee is survived by her stepchildren, Cheryl (Tocco) Phillips and her husband, Dale Phillips, and Dean Tocco and his wife, Camilla; her grandchildren, Aaron Suzore and his wife, Alex, Adam Suzore, Ryan Suzore, Brett Suzore, Steven Tocco and his wife, Marisa, and Kevin Tocco; and her cousins, Michael Pizzurro, Melissa King, Angelique Pizzurro, and Doug Booker and his wife, Nicole.
Lee’s memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her sweet spirit, loving heart, and unwavering faith in Jesus will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Lee’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Church in Brownstown, Michigan. The family will receive guests beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Lee and Tony’s remains will be laid to rest together at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
