Lori Ann Jones

October 25, 1962 — June 1, 2025

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Lori Ann Jones, who departed this life on June 1, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on October 25, 1962, Lori was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and unwavering devotion left a lasting mark on the lives of those around her.

Lori was the cherished daughter of Reverend James W. Jones and the late Carol Kay Jones, and the dear sister of David (Pamela) Jones. Throughout her life, Lori exemplified kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength. She faced physical challenges from an early age, having undergone surgery at just seven months old. However, she lived with determination, offering care and compassion to others, especially through her work in home health care.

After the passing of her mother, Lori lovingly stepped in to care for her father, bringing supper to him every evening. This daily act of devotion reflected her heart—selfless, steadfast, and full of love.

Lori is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Erin (Jesse) Rutter, Lindsey (Levi) Kollins, Ethan (Ashley) Jones, Caleb (Katie) Jones, Samuel Jones, and Timothy (Lila) Jones—and by fifteen great-nieces and nephews, with one more on the way.

A woman of creativity and passion, Lori was a lifelong Beatles fan. One of the greatest joys of her life was traveling to Liverpool with her father to walk the streets where the Fab Four got their start—a pilgrimage that brought tears, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Lori was also a dedicated writer. Her heartfelt novel, Angela Comes Home, took eight years to complete and was a labor of love that reflected both her patience and her imagination.

Cats held a special place in Lori's heart. Over the years, she cared for many feline companions, each of whom brought her joy, comfort, and companionship. Her home was a haven of warmth for her beloved pets.

Lori faced life's difficulties with quiet courage and found happiness in small, beautiful things—books, music, thoughtful conversations, and the comfort of routine. Lori's legacy of care, creativity, and compassion will live on in every life she touched.
