Lydia Leos-Rojas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lydia Leos-Rojas, of Lincoln Park, who left us on September 6, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on March 25, 1968, to Amado and Lucila (Lopez) Leos, Lydia lived a life full of love, care, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Lydia was the beloved wife of Fabian Rojas Martinez, with whom she shared 23 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life of deep connection and joy. She was the devoted mother of Ana Patricia (Jorge) Vazquez and Priscilla (Gregorio Escamilla) Garza, both of whom she raised with immense strength, love, and dedication. Lydia also embraced the role of grandmother with pride, doting on her grandchildren Sergio Vazquez (10), Dalila Vazquez (4), and Isella Leos Escamilla (1), spoiling them with her affection and care. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she was always there to support, nurture, and uplift them.

As a sister, Lydia shared a loving bond with her siblings the late Joey Leos, the late Amado Leos, Sylvia (Jaime) De La Cerda, Sandra (Roel) Saavedra, Norma Leos (Javier) Caballero, and Ana Chavez.

Lydia's friendships were just as meaningful, and her best friend, Patricia Parker El-Yafouri, was by her side through life's many milestones, sharing countless cherished memories.

Those who knew Lydia knew her as a person of immense kindness, humor, and generosity. She had an unparalleled passion for baking, lovingly creating her children's and grandchildren's birthday cakes year after year. Her love for her family extended beyond baking cakes, as she delighted in making family dinners and preparing festive meals for holidays. Lydia truly enjoyed the simple yet profound joy of bringing her loved ones together around the table.

Known for her love of perfume and purses, Lydia carried herself with style, but it was her warmth, care, and thoughtfulness that truly set her apart. Her kindness and dedication went beyond the walls of her home. She always exceeded expectations in her professional life, having worked in the event planning industry, where her exceptional skills and attention to detail shone brightly.

Through every challenge, Lydia showed resilience, strength, and an unyielding devotion to her family. Her daughters describe her as a mother who always went above and beyond, providing not only for their needs but nurturing them with boundless love and wisdom. Lydia's ability to care for others and exceed all expectations is a testament to the remarkable woman she was.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024  1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Solosy Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue on Friday, September 13, 2024  10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Solosy Funeral Home.

Interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Lydia Leos-Rojas, de Lincoln Park, quien nos dejó el 6 de septiembre de 2024 a la edad de 56 años. Nacida el 25 de marzo de 1968, hija de Amado y Lucila (Lopez) Leos, Lydia vivió una vida llena de amor, cuidado y dedicación, dejando una huella imborrable en todos aquellos que la conocieron.

Lydia fue la amada esposa de Fabian Rojas Martinez, con quien compartió 23 hermosos años de matrimonio. Juntos construyeron una vida de profunda conexión y alegría. Fue la madre devota de Ana Patricia (Jorge) Vazquez y Priscilla (Gregorio Escamilla) Garza, a quienes crió con inmensa fortaleza, amor y dedicación. Lydia también asumió con orgullo el rol de abuela, consintiendo a sus nietos Sergio Vazquez (10), Dalila Vazquez (4) e Isella Leos Escamilla (1), colmándolos de su afecto y cuidado. Su amor por su familia no tenía límites, y siempre estuvo presente para apoyar, cuidar y elevar a todos a su alrededor.

Como hermana, Lydia compartió un vínculo amoroso con sus hermanos el fallecido Joey Leos, el fallecido Amado Leos, Sylvia (Jaime) De La Cerda, Sandra (Roel) Saavedra, Norma Leos (Javier) Caballero, y Ana Chavez.

Las amistades de Lydia fueron igualmente significativas, y su mejor amiga, Patricia Parker El-Yafouri, estuvo a su lado a lo largo de muchos hitos de la vida, compartiendo incontables recuerdos apreciados.

Quienes conocieron a Lydia la describen como una persona de inmensa bondad, humor y generosidad. Tenía una pasión incomparable por la repostería, creando con amor los pasteles de cumpleaños de sus hijos y nietos año tras año. Su amor por su familia iba más allá de los pasteles, ya que disfrutaba preparando cenas familiares y comidas festivas para los días especiales. Lydia realmente disfrutaba la alegría simple, pero profunda, de reunir a sus seres queridos alrededor de la mesa.

Conocida por su amor a los perfumes y bolsos, Lydia siempre se destacó por su estilo, pero lo que realmente la distinguía era su calidez, cuidado y atención. Su bondad y dedicación iban más allá de las paredes de su hogar. Siempre superó las expectativas en su vida profesional, habiendo trabajado en la industria de la planificación de eventos, donde sus habilidades excepcionales y atención a los detalles brillaban con intensidad.

A través de cada desafío, Lydia mostró resiliencia, fortaleza y una devoción inquebrantable a su familia. Sus hijas la describen como una madre que siempre fue más allá, brindándoles no solo lo que necesitaban, sino también nutriéndolas con un amor y una sabiduría infinitos. La capacidad de Lydia para cuidar de los demás y superar todas las expectativas es un testimonio de la mujer extraordinaria que fue.

Su presencia será profundamente extrañada, pero su legado de amor, bondad y fortaleza vivirá en los corazones de su familia y de todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 12 de septiembre de 2024 de 1:00 a 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria Solosy.

El velorio continuará el viernes 13 de septiembre de 2024 a las 10:00 a. m. hasta la hora del servicio a las 11:00 a.m. en Solosy Funeral Home.

Entierro en el cementerio St. Hedwig en Dearborn Heights.
