Manuel Moreno Ortiz

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Manuel Moreno Ortiz, quien partió de esta vida el 3 de agosto de 2025, a los 62 años. Nacido el 9 de mayo de 1963, hijo de José Moreno y Ma. Carmen Ortiz, Manuel creció en Maravatio del Encinal, en una familia agricultora donde floreció su pasión por la tierra y el trabajo del campo.

Impulsado por su curiosidad y deseo de superación, Manuel se convirtió en el primer miembro de su familia en obtener un título universitario, logrando una Licenciatura en Ingeniería Agrónoma en la Universidad de Chapingo en la Ciudad de México, y posteriormente una Maestría en Sociología. Su trayectoria fue testimonio de su inteligencia, humildad y fortaleza.

Manuel conoció a su esposa María Moreno en su querido pueblo de Maravatío del Encinal, y compartieron más de 30 años de matrimonio lleno de amor, respeto y entrega a su familia. Fue un padre orgulloso de Mariana Moreno Nava y Rosario Vala, y un cariñoso suegro de Robert Vala.

Hombre de múltiples intereses, Manuel disfrutaba de la jardinería, la lectura, la escritura, los viajes y descubrir nuevas culturas y sabores. Sus momentos más preciados eran aquellos compartidos con su familia, en medio de risas, sabiduría y afecto.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa María, sus hijas Mariana y Rosario, su yerno Robert, y sus hermanos Javier, Maricela, José y José Luis. Fue precedido en muerte por su hermana Verónica Moreno.

Manuel será recordado como un hombre sabio, compasivo, respetuoso y de gran corazón—un esposo devoto, padre amoroso, hermano entrañable y amigo fiel. Su legado de perseverancia, generosidad y amor seguirá inspirando a todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Manuel será enterrado en Santa Cecilia, Maravatío del Encinal, Salvatierra, Guanajuato, México, un lugar cercano a su corazón.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Manuel Moreno Ortiz, who departed this life on August 3, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on May 9, 1963, to Jose Moreno and Ma. Carmen Ortiz, Manuel was raised in the rural town of Maravatio del Encinal, where he grew up in a hardworking farming family that nurtured his lifelong passion for agriculture.

Driven by curiosity and a deep desire to learn, Manuel became a first-generation college student, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Chapingo University in Mexico City, followed by a Master of Science in Sociology. His achievements reflected not only his intellect, but also his determination, humility, and strength of spirit.

Manuel married Maria Moreno, the love of his life, whom he met in their hometown of Maravatío del Encinal. Together, they shared over 30 years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, mutual respect, and unwavering devotion to family. He was the proud father of Mariana Moreno Nava and Rosario Vala, and a loving father-in-law to Robert Vala.

A man of many talents and interests, Manuel was known for his love of gardening, reading, writing, traveling, and his insatiable curiosity for world cultures and cuisines. He especially cherished time spent with his family, sharing laughter, wisdom, and love.

He is survived by his beloved wife Maria, his daughters Mariana and Rosario, his son-in-law Robert, and his siblings Javier, Maricela, Jose, and Jose Luis. He was preceded in death by his sister Veronica Moreno.

Manuel will be remembered as a wise, compassionate, respectful, and kind-hearted man—a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished brother, and a friend to many. His legacy of perseverance, generosity, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Manuel will be laid to rest at Santa Cecilia, Maravatío del Encinal, Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, a place close to his heart.
