Obituary

Margaret Mary Lopez, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on September 15, 1977, to Guadalupe and Eva (Fronzczk) Lopez. Margaret built lifelong roots and relationships that helped shape the warm, spirited woman she became.

Margaret grew up in Lincoln Park and proudly attended Lincoln Park Public Schools, beginning at Paun Elementary and continuing through Lincoln Park High School. Along the way, she made friendships and memories that stayed with her throughout her life. Determined and hardworking, she later went on to earn her Associate Degree in Applied Science from Wayne County Community College—an achievement she was truly proud of.

In 1994, Margaret met the love of her life, Robert Warren. What began as a young connection blossomed into a beautiful 31-year journey of unwavering love and partnership. Together, they raised a family that meant everything to her: Robert, Des’ree, Anthony, Dominick, Danielle, and Kellan Warren. Her pride in her children was unmistakable, and becoming a grandmother to precious Heley Warren filled her heart with even more joy.

Margaret cherished her family fiercely. She is survived by her husband, children, and granddaughter, as well as her beloved brother, Roberto Lopez; her niece, Eva Lopez; and her nephew, Armando Lopez. She also leaves behind two dear friends, Tammy Lockheart and Jodi Mondak, who walked through life with her through laughter, tears, and everything in between.

Those blessed to know Margaret will forever remember her wicked sense of humor—sharp, funny, and perfectly timed. She had a remarkable way of offering advice that was honest, comforting, and exactly what was needed. Her favorite moments were often the simple ones: cooking big, comforting meals for her family, playing Super Mario or Bubble Shooter, enjoying M&M’s, or spending time outdoors around a bonfire, at the beach, or on trips up north. She loved the Rocky Horror Show, cheering on the Cowboys, and being surrounded by the people she loved most.

Margaret’s strength and protective spirit were evident even as a child. One unforgettable family story tells of her punching straight through a screen door to defend her younger brother from a neighborhood bully—an early sign of the fierce love and bravery that defined her throughout her life.

With a laugh that could light up a room and a heart that welcomed everyone in, Margaret created a legacy of love, loyalty, and unforgettable memories. She made people feel cared for, understood, and never alone. Her presence brought comfort; her humor brought joy; her love brought strength.

She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, and her memory will continue to warm the hearts of those who loved her most.
