Maria Heczei

Peacefully, Maria Heczei passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the age of 52 years.

Maria was born on March 22, 1971. Beloved daughter of Erzsebet Heczei and the late Ioan Heczei. Loving sister of Elena (Emerick) Toth. Dear friend of many in the Hungarian, American, Romanian, and Nigerian communities.

Maria had a passion for excellence. Her life could be defined by a love for creating projects done correctly. An abiding appreciation for learning and continual knowledge was important to Maria throughout her life. One of her greatest achievements was earning her master's degree in journalism. Although Maria loved to write, her passion was in visual production. She had an eye for design and knew the value of making things beautiful. Maria enjoyed working to create graphics and videos. Detroit World Outreach, First Assembly in Dearborn Heights, The Spring of Life Ministries, and numerous private projects are only some of the places she used and shared her skills. Professional quality was always of the highest priority to Maria.

When Maria wasn't working, she enjoyed living life to the fullest. She had a genuine love for animals, especially pets like Bandit, Nicodemus and Mitzi.  Flower gardening and being outside in the warmer months were also something Maria took pleasure in.

Maria will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023  9:00 AM until time of service at Solosy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
