Maria Mena

September 10, 1950 — August 26, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Mena, who was called to her eternal rest on August 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on September 10, 1950, Maria was the beloved wife of the late Atanacio Mena and a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with love, faith, and service.

Maria's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her thirteen children: Jose Mena, Matilde Rocha, Lety Puga, Sammuel Mena, Paula Wagner, Juana Mena, Maria B. Mena, Jesus Mena, Adriana Mena, Felix Mena, Valentin Mena, Ines Mena, and Blanca Mena. She was a proud grandmother of 38 grandchildren and a blessed great-grandmother to 33 great-grandchildren. Her circle of love extended far beyond her family, as she counted everyone as her friend.

Deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, Maria was a member of the Guadalupanas and faithfully served as a Minister of the Eucharist. She found joy in spending time with friends and church groups, helping others, and sharing laughter and stories. Known for her loving, compassionate, and joyful nature, she touched countless lives with her wisdom, kindness, and generosity—always giving, never expecting anything in return.
