Marianne Theresa Orsargos, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, at the age of 88. Marianne was born on January 10, 1936, to Andrew and Bertha Iswak, joining siblings Barbara and John in their loving family. She is now reunited with her late husband, Steve Orsargos, and her departed parents and sister.
Marianne is survived by her devoted children: Barbara (Tom) Drugalis, Suzanne (Terry) Robinette, Tamara (Rudy) Raths, Theresa (the late Scott) Lakins, and Steve (Tracy) Orsargos. Her legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense joy and pride for her.
Throughout her life, Marianne found fulfillment in various endeavors. Before dedicating herself to raising her children, she worked as a secretary, demonstrating remarkable speed and proficiency in typing and shorthand. She was known to help Steve with papers that needed to be typed. He was always amazed at her speed and accuracy. Later in life, she discovered a passion for puzzles, finding solace and enjoyment in their challenges.
Marianne was an active member of the Women of Good Shepherd, contributing her time and energy to various church initiatives over the years. She cherished her involvement in this organization, forming enduring friendships and making meaningful contributions to her family of faith.
One of Marianne's favorite pastimes was playing BINGO at the FOP Hall in Wyandotte. She found camaraderie and excitement in those gatherings, creating lasting memories with friends old and new.
Above all, Marianne's greatest source of happiness was her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, finding immense joy in their accomplishments and held dear every moment spent together. Her love and guidance will forever be remembered and precious to all who knew her.
Marianne Theresa Orsargos will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at Solosy Funeral Home on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM.
In-state visitation will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lincoln Park on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 9:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment will immediately follow Mass at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown, Michigan.
