Age 59 of Lincoln Park, Michigan passed on March 23, 2011 to be with his parents Raymond C. Wilson (deceased) and Virginia Musu Wilson (deceased). Mark was a gentle, kind and caring man. He was born March 27, 1951 in Detroit, MI. He lived his life in Lincoln Park, MI on Fort Park Blvd., graduating from Lincoln Park High School. He attended Wayne County Community College and received a diploma from Detroit Business Institute. His First Holy Communion and Confirmation were made at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Lincoln Park, MI. Mark achieved a Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan, Korean Martial Arts; studied under the Don and competed in numerous competitions in the United States, eventually teaching in the downriver area. He was a partner in his martial arts studio in Taylor and taught classes for many years at the YMCA to both children and adults. His love of the outdoors enabled him to compete in wilderness survival training. He owned and operated his own delicatessen for several years. Mark was a security guard for Crain Business Publications through Executive Protection & Security in Allen Park. Mark was a devoted caregiver to his mother, Virginia, and his sister, Mary Christina as well as several family and friends. Mark is survived by his siblings and their spouses: Becky Wilson Chamberlain (Leon-deceased), Palm Springs, CA; Gilbert (Diane), Barton City, MI & FL; Martin, Barton City, MI; Terry (Diane), Woodhaven, MI; Deborah Vargo (Bill), Highland, MI, Mary Christina, Highland, MI and Heidi, Lincoln Park, MI. His siblings and many nieces and nephews will joyfully remember their many trips, hikes and camp-outs with Mark. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of their choice. Memorial visitation Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at the John K. Solosy Funeral Home, Lincoln Park, (313) 383-1870, followed by a graveside service at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, 18303 Allen Rd., Brownstown, MI.
