Martin was the beloved fiancé of Rosa Sanchez-Cabrera. Their love story began on July 4, 2020, when they were neighbors, and from that day forward, they were inseparable. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and companionship.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Erica McGuffey, and his siblings Lily, Mario, Diego, and Brandon, all of whom he cherished deeply. His grandparents, Tina Kempf and Rick McGuffey, were a constant source of wisdom and warmth in his life. His grandfather Rick served as a father-figure to Martin from the age of 3; helping Erica raise him. He also leaves behind his uncle Ernie and his aunts Ashley and Alice, who played significant roles in his upbringing.

Martin had a special bond with his best friends, Jeo Sanchez and Eduardo, who affectionately called him "Joe Bull." Together, they shared countless adventures and created memories that will be cherished forever.

A lover of all animals, Martin had a special place in his heart for his pet, Zoey, who brought him endless joy. He had a soft spot for peanut butter milkshakes and could often be found enjoying one. He loved hanging out and having fun like at his favorite spots, Dave & Buster's, where he always seemed to have luck on his side, and Buffalo Wild Wings (B-Dubs), where he loved to eat with friends and family.

Martin's love for mini bikes was unmatched. He enjoyed riding and rebuilding them, always finding joy in the hands-on work. His passion for building and fixing things extended to all aspects of his life, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to try new things.

Above all, Martin was a family man. He loved spending time with his family and fiancée, whether it was at family outings or simply enjoying each other's company at home. He had a unique ability to make people laugh and was always ready with a joke, bringing light and joy to those around him.

Martin's dream was to become a firefighter, driven by a deep desire to save lives and help others. His caring nature and readiness to lend a hand to anyone in need were evident in everything he did.

Martin Ricardo Reyes will be remembered for his big heart, his laughter, and his love for life. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the spirit of adventure. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Solosy Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service which begins at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit.
