Mary Ann Muntz

The family of Mary Ann Muntz, of Melvindale, is saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the age of 85 years.

Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Robert L. Muntz. Loving mother of Catherine (Brian) Pearson, Robert Muntz Jr., the late Christine Frederick, and John Muntz. Proud grandmother of Ryan, Justin (Crystal), Nathan, Vicky, Rachelle, Joshua, Matthew, Kaitlyn, William, and Cera. Caring great-grandmother of Julian, August, and Autumn.

Mary was born on March 18, 1938 to Hipolit and Martha Florence Musta in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She was the second of nine children. Dearest sister of the late Eric Musta, the late Margaret (Rick) Dulz, Peter Musta, Phillip (Sue) Musta, Cathie (the late Chuck) Nance, Michael Musta, Rosemary Musta, and the late Stephen Musta.

Mary's life was full of the many things she enjoyed. She was a crafty person and an extremely talented seamstress. Mary could make anything! Some of the projects included bridal gowns, suits, Halloween costumes, and much more. Cooking and baking were hobbies she also found pleasure in. There was never a Christmas she missed making her delicious Christmas cookie treats. When she wasn't sewing or baking, she could be found in her flower garden. Colorful roses adorned Mary's beautiful garden all season long. Although she enjoyed her hobbies, Mary always loved the people in her life the most. She could regularly be seen chatting with neighbors, talking on the phone with friends, and playing with her grandkids.

Mary will be sincerely missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023 1:00 – 8:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home.  Parastas will be at 6:00 PM.

Instate will be on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:00 AM at St Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Bloomdale Cemetery.
