Maryann Rennie

The family of Maryann Rennie, of Wyandotte, is saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the age of 73 years.

Beloved wife of the late John Rennie. Loving mother of William (Tara) Coleman and James (Linda) Coleman. Proud grandmother of Sabrina Coleman, Mariah Coleman, Olivia Coleman, Ryan Coleman, CJ Coleman, Roger Berry, and the late Amber Berry. Caring step-mother of John Jr., Michael, David, Lorie, Linda, and Jeanette. Dearest honorary grandmother to many.

Maryann was born on August 16, 1949 to the late Apolinar and Manuela Campos.  She was the eighth of fourteen children. Maryann grew up in Southwest Detroit with her seven sisters and six brothers. Although life was not always easy, it was here she learned many life lessons and grew into the beautiful person she was. She attended Western High School and later went on to become a surgical technician.

Maryann lived life to the fullest. One of her favorite activities to do was listen to music. The musical beat would call to her and before you knew it, Maryann would be up and dancing. Games were also something Maryann regularly took pleasure in. Her favorites were shuffleboard and bowling. Although she loved playing games, she loved the people that were with her even more. Going to the American Legion to visit her friends was a treasured time for Maryann. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her entire family, especially her many grandchildren.

Maryann will be sincerely missed by her family and all those who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023  2:00 PM until time of service at Solosy Funeral Home.

Rosary & Funeral Service will begin at 7:00PM.
