Max F. Schiebold

August 20, 1920 — June 13, 2014

Age 93. Former Mayor of Lincoln Park, passed away on June 13, 2014. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 60 years, Ethel, loving daughters, Lenette (Robert) Ruzzin and Doris (Mark) Cudworth, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph (Norma), many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dear sisters Ruth (Joe) Zidek, Violet (Geno) Muzzin and brother Allen (Donna).

Born in Dresden, Germany, he came to the U.S. at six years of age, graduated from Henry Ford Trade School and went on to become an operations Superintendant at Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1979. His second retirement at 90 was with Earl Keim Realty.

As a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Max lived a life of service. Through the years, he was an active member of Lincoln Park Historical Commission, past Commander of American Legion Post 406, American Legion Post 67, VFW Post 552, Kiwanis, Jaycees, Calvary Lutheran Church and numerous Civic Boards and Commissions.

Visitation Wednesday June 18th, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Thursday June 19th, 2014 Instate at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church 3320 Electric, Lincoln Park. Interment Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park.
