Michael Lawrence Klein

Michael Lawrence Klein, born June 15, 1962, passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Born to the late Laurence and Patricia Klein, Michael led a life filled with love and laughter.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Klein (Ukleja), who was his steadfast companion. His memory lives on through his cherished children, Jaclyn Kaliszewski and Steven Kaliszewski. He was also a devoted grandfather to Ethan and Braydon Kaliszewski.

Michael's siblings included the late David Klein, the late K. Edward Klein, and his dear sister, Theresa (Randall) Leach. Though David and Edward have passed, their memories remained a significant part of Michael's life. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Michael had an immense love for Alaskan Malamutes his entire life. He is survived by his last fur-baby, Mr. Belvedere.

Known for his dry sense of humor, his wit and laughter had a unique way of making even the most mundane moments memorable. Cooking was one of Michael's greatest passions. He found joy in preparing meals for his family. A fervent fan of the University of Michigan, Michael's enthusiasm for the Wolverines was infectious.

Michael was immensely proud of his service in the United States Air Force. His dedication to his country was a testament to his character, and he carried the values of honor, duty, and perseverance with him throughout his life. His time in the Air Force shaped him into the man he was, and he remained a proud veteran until his final days.

Michael's passion for working on cars was well-known among his family and friends. He took great pride in his 1971 Charger RT, a cherished possession that he cared for like one of his own children. As a dedicated supporter of MOPAR, he found solace and satisfaction in the world of automotive design, spending countless hours fine-tuning his beloved vehicles.

Visitation for Michael Lawrence Klein will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park. An Honor Guard Service will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed by a memorial remembrance. This will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his kindness, humor, and passion.
