Obituary

The family of Michael William McInchak is deeply saddened to announce his passing on December 9, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on December 1, 1954, Michael was the beloved son of the late Frank McInchak and Elizabeth Mary (Kadamus) McInchak. His life was rooted in Southgate, Michigan, where he grew up, formed lifelong friendships, and graduated from Schafer High School.

Michael was married to Michele McInchak, with whom he shared many years of life and family. He was a proud father to Heather Marie (David Bradley) Snead and Ashley Nicole McInchak, and his greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his cherished grandson, Brady Michael McInchak. His heart was fullest when he was with Brady—whether watching hockey together, sharing laughs, or simply enjoying the quiet moments of life.

He is also survived by his siblings Frank McInchak Jr., David (Katie) McInchak, and Susan McInchak, as well as extended family members, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss his warm presence and generous spirit.

Michael was known for his kindness and his willingness to help anyone who needed him. Compassionate, caring, and steady, he had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and valued. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—Detroit Red Wings hockey, classic oldies music, sloppy joes, and a good Jack Daniels now and then. Above all, he cherished time with his grandson, creating memories that will continue to be treasured.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 7:00 PM at Solosy Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the prostate cancer foundation.
